Last Updated 26/7/02 GUY HEADS TO JAPAN! Chapter Music kingpin Guy Blackman has left Melbourne to spend some time in Tokyo. The 'Double Figures' CD was released just before he left and is now available through the same discerning outlets carrying other Chapter releases. A return date has not been set, but you are able to contact him by emailing chapter@corduroy.com.au HAPPY 10th BIRTHDAY CHAPTER MUSIC! Chapter Music turned ten in July this year. It has been ten years since the launch of the first release on Chapter, the Bright Lights Small City compilation cassette, in July 1992. At that time I was only just 18, living in Perth. Now I'm 28, living in Melbourne. It seems like as good a time as any to end the label. I'm heading to Japan in early September for a year or two, and when I get back maybe I'll start something new. I've decided to do a last minute 10th anniversary compilation CD, with a mixture of old and new tracks from Chapter's fine roster of artists. That should be out in August sometime, with a gig planned for September 6. It'll be a combined 10th birthday party, CD launch and farewell for me! Cheers, Guy Blackman. |
